Terms and Conditions

1. Custom Development Service

1. Development Hours and Additional Billing: If you purchase development hours, be aware that tasks exceeding the estimated number of hours will incur additional charges. The quoted hours for development services are approximate, and the final work may require more time than initially estimated. In such cases, the client is responsible for paying for the extra hours needed to complete the task. You will be updated accordingly if the time for the total work exceeds the estimated hours.

2. Payment Terms : We require upfront payment for each Phase before we initiate the work on a particular phase.

3. Warranty Period: A 15-day warranty period is provided after project completion. During this time, clients can report any "bugs in the functionality." However, issues like conflicts with other plugins or server configuration/deployment problems may arise. The developer reserves the right to investigate and determine if these issues fall under warranty. Feature requests or additional requirements are not included in this warranty and are limited to bugs and issues mentioned in the project scope document.

4. Industry Standards: The developer follows industry best practices and coding standards for WordPress. If updates after the warranty period break any customized code, the developer can address the issue, but the client must pay for the additional hours invested in the task.

5. Project Scope and Additional Work: Any requirements or functionalities outside the "Project Scope Document" (agreed upon before starting the project) are not part of this quote. Additional work outside this scope will be estimated separately, and work will only commence after client approval and payment.

6. GNU Public License: The code produced by the developer will be under the GNU Public License, similar to WordPress licensing, which grants the following rights:
- The right to reproduce the code.
- The right to create derivative works based on the code.
- The right to distribute copies of the code.
- The right to display the code, for example, by posting it to a group.

7. Minimum Billable Time:  All work is billed at an hourly rate with a minimum of one (1) hour per task.
Tasks requiring less than one hour, including those completed within 10–15 minutes, are billed as one hour to account for preparation, context switching, and communication overhead.

For longer tasks, time is rounded up to the nearest hour.

Example:

A minor fix requiring 10–15 minutes = 1 hour billed

A task requiring 1 hour 20 minutes = 2 hours billed

This ensures clear, consistent, and predictable billing without minute-by-minute tracking.

8. Billable Hours for Meetings and Research: Time spent on meetings, discussions, and research related to tasks will also be considered billable hours, in addition to the time spent on actual project tasks.

2. Plugin Purchases

How Many Sites Can I Use My License Key On?

One active and valid subscription key can be used on one active site only. We classify each “site” as an activation URL.

Subdomains are separate sites – a key is activated for https://docs.elearningevolve.com does not cover https://elearningevolve.com

Sub-directory sites are separate sites – a key is activated for https://elearningevolve.com/site1 does not cover https://elearningevolve.com/site2

Note: This does not apply to a multi-site license which enables you to add the license to the network admin site and enjoy automatic updates on all the subsites of your multisite network.
