Multiple hosts on Zoom
This blog is dedicated to helping you configure multiple hosts on Zoom with the Zoom WordPress Plugin. So here's how you can do that with a basic-level Zoom user.
Multiple hosts on Zoom for Basic user
IMPORTANT: Please check the Prerequisites highlighted in the image below, you will not be able to use this feature with a Free account without a credit card. There are specific features that are only available to Pro users in Zoom like the cloud recording feature for the meeting.
- You can add a basic user type(free account level) from the plugin Zoom meetings -> Add user. Please make sure you fulfill the prerequisites for using this feature.
- Enter the email of the user whom you want to make the meeting host. This will create a free Zoom user in your Zoom account. The user will receive an email to accept the invite from Admin. Once they accept the invite you will now see the user email in the meeting host dropdown.
Now, simply create a meeting with this host and place the meeting shortcode on any of your WordPress pages. The new host will now be able to start this meeting without the administrator.
Multiple hosts on Zoom for Pro user
IMPORTANT: Please note that in order to create a Pro user type user you must have purchased a Pro Zoom host If you haven't purchased a host you will not be able to use this configuration. You can see if you are eligible to create a licensed user from your main Zoom account here,
- You can add a Pro user type(Licensed user) from the plugin Zoom meetings -> Add user.
- Enter the email of the Pro level user whom you want to make the meeting host. This will create a licensed Zoom user in your Zoom account. The user will receive an email to accept the invite from Admin. Once they accept the invite you will now see the user email in the meeting host dropdown.
- Apart from adding them as the main host for the meeting, you have the option to use the alternative host feature which is only available for Pro/Licensed users. By adding them as an alternative host the user will have the ability to start the meeting just like the admin user.
Now, simply create a meeting with this host and place the meeting shortcode on any of your WordPress pages. The alternative host will now be able to start this meeting without the administrator. That's it!

Hola! Compré el complemento Basic y dos usuarios licenciados de zoom, entonces ¿Puedo realizar dos reuniones simultáneas ( a la misma hora) en dos páginas diferentes de mi WordPress?
That is correct, you can host simultaneous meetings with different meeting hosts.
After adding a new user, the email to confirm is not sent.
If you are on a free Zoom plan you must add a CC in your Zoom account to activate the User management section.
Hi
I just love this plugin I’m getting ready to use it for the first time but the question is can I use the plugin if I subscribe to zoom webinar will the plugin still work?
It only works for Zoom meetings and not with the webinar for now.
Hey!
I just want to say I love the plugin: however, when I try to join a meeting and sign in to zoom from a phone or tablet: it reloads the page and won’t let me sign in. Do you know what could have happened?
Hey, glad to hear that you love the plugin. Are you joining in the meeting through iPhone?
We have installed the update and have password required in our accounts to assist with people bombing the sessions.
This works perfect on the computer, however when testing on the mobile or iPad we are not able to access the join button.
We have tested iso and Samsung devices with the same issue.
Any suggestions?
