How to limit number of users for BigBlueButton Room on WordPress

A step-by-step guide to show how to limit the number of users for BigBlueButton Room on WordPress with our  BigBlueButton WordPress Plugin – Pro
Please note that this feature is not available in our free plugin.

First thing first, install and activate our BigBlueButton WordPress Plugin – Pro, If you are not sure how to do that see our video guide.
Once you activate the Pro plugin you will see an option under BBB Rooms -> Settings -> Room Config -> Max Participants. In this field, you can set the maximum of users or participants that will be allowed to join all your BBB rooms, click Save Changes after adding your value. This is a global setting that will apply to all your rooms.

There is also an option to limit the no. of users on a per-page basis rather than applying the same limit from the settings for all the rooms. To be able to do this you can add an extra parameter in your room shortcode as room_limit=[limit_for_this_page]

The room linked to this resource is not configured correctly.

• The token is the BBB room token value that you get from BBB Rooms -> All Rooms -> Token for your particular room.
• room_limit value can be set to your preferred limit for users joining the room from this particular page. This method can be used to set a unique limit for the same room shortcode added on different pages.

Once you set the limit for the no. of users in the settings above, when the no. of users limit is reached for any of the rooms, the new users who try to join the room from the join page will see an error message and will not be able to join in until the room is full.
